Statement of Faith

Article IV and Article V By-law of Father’s Heart Ministry Adopted June 10, 2010

Article IV Tenets of Faith

1. THE SCRIPTURES: – The Bible is the inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16)

2. There is one God, eternally existent as Father, Son, and God the Holy Ghost, indivisible within himself, yet distinct in his dispensation toward men (2 Corinthians 13:14)

3. In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal future return to this world in power and glory to rule a thousand years (Matthew 16:16; 1 Cor. 15:3,4)

4. In a blessed hope, the glorification of the saints by faith. (Titus 2:13)

5. The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ (1 Peter 1:18,19)

6. Regeneration by the Holy Spirit (John 3:3-5)

7. The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer. (1 Peter 2:24).

8. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it (Acts 2:39).

9. In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life (Galatians 5:16).

10. In the resurrection (John 5:28,29)

11. Giving: – We believe that giving of finances and other resources is in God’s plan and that it is a part of the life of every believer.

Article V Ordinances

The ordinance of Baptism by immersion in water (Matt. 28:19) shall be administered to all those who have repented of their sins and have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ to the saving of their souls, and give clear evidence of their salvation. (Rom. 6:3-5; Col. 2:12))

The ordinance of the Lord’s supper shall be observed regularly as enjoined in the Scriptures. (Luke 22:19,20; 1 Cor. 11:23-26).
